well the last few days have been, quite frankly, craptastic. Murphy needs to get the blazes out of my life.
The peach frozen yogurt became peach sorbet and was just fabulously peachy with an amazing texture. Mixed some in with the remains of the white chocolate ice cream and it was really extraordinary. I never did get to try my cherry sauce with the white chocolate ice cream, the Husband couldn’t find it when he went down to get it. Ah, well….cherries in chocolate instead…
The chocolate sorbet, is still trying to be made. When they tell you you can’t make two ice creams back-to-back or that you need to wait till the bowl is frozen solid, they’re not kidding. Trust me on this one. At the moment I still (again?) have a bowl of chocolate sorbet soup in my fridge. If I can’t it to freeze tomorrow, I’m going to have to find something else to do with it! Heh, the sacrifices I have to make.
Lunch the last couple of days was some of the leftover quinoa, with chicken, peas, tomatoes and sriracha. I thought about taking a picture but a) I’m still having permissioning issues and b) I would’ve then needed to plate it instead of eating it out of the tuperware it had been stored in (and it wasn’t really very pretty either!).
Tomorrow’s Thursday again, which means my weekly trip to the Amish and the farm market.Need to figure out what I’m cooking this week and need to either get to the supermarket or schedule a delivery.
Friday I’m potentially lunching in Brooklyn and/or drinks/dinner in NYC with the girls.
I’m tired and cranky. I know this. It doesn’t make it any easier, though. If I don’t find a job soon, I’m going to lose my mind. I need a new brownie recipe. I need to get out of the house. I need to get out of the funk I’m in and get moving on the things I need to do, and just do them.
