The last couple of weeks have been fairly rough, only in part because I am overworking myself in the kitchen. I’m two weeks into a headache cycle, which means I have a headache more days than I don’t and of enough intensity that I am taking meds for them fairly often. I went to the doctor last week and he said that it is due at least in part to the worst allergy season in a decade. So I’ve got meds to take plus nasal spray and I’ll probably go with the Husband to his appointment this week. I’m due to get a magnesium infusion this week as well which should hopefully help the headaches.
We also decided to take an xray of my foot, since it has been almost 9 weeks since I sprained my ankle and it still hurts and I still need to wrap it whenever I go out of the house. I should have those results by Tues and then we’ll figure out where to go from there.
I’m grateful for pain meds and sleep meds since without either I’d have a much harder time functioning.
I used to be SO resistant to even the idea of needing meds to help me to function, and now I am ever so grateful to have them. I don’t take anything that zombifies me. And what I take doesn’t, unfortunately, eliminate the pain, but it does take it down a notch which is usually just enough for me to breathe comfortably again.
I’m grateful to be able to self-medicate, and will be thrilled once New Jersey finally passes medical marijuana. Once upon a time I was lucky enough to get some that really helped with the pain relief, and after hoarding it for this long, it’s finally almost all gone. (I used much of it at the party a couple of weeks ago). At least most of the time it helps with the nausea at the very least.
